Mana regen that he can easily get from starting blue...

With the first blue you'll be able to sustain for a bit. But clearing camps later in often end up with mana issues during the midgame.
Have you tried jungle Gangplank? (Your picture is a pirate right?)

Apologies, I should have been more specific. His base Move speed is highest, but he doesn't have any mobility abilities or slows that let him stick to a target after his burst if he initiated with W. Having Mv Spd quints helps makes up for Mv spd increases your enemies have or debuffs they apply to you.

I main junglers like Udyr, Yi, Nunu, who have good move speed buffs, so I feel slow when I play as champs like Panth and Dar even though they have pretty high base speeds(Darius's speed coming from his passive making it 357). I run move speed on almost all of these guys in some situations(never on Nunu).

I have two mastery pages that I run depending on my team comp. If I don't think I'll need the extra 10%~ damage the deep offense tree gives, I go 12-15-3, taking Mv Spd in addition to the runes.

That is true if you don't go hydra, but the auto reset, aoe and added damage makes clearing a breeze. Managing your damage around your crit passive is also important, smiting so you get a crit to finish off a monster will optimize clear times and just managing the small things will help a ton with your sustain.

Yeah, I've played GP jungle. I have less trouble with that than Panth jungle.

Very true. I usually go Black Cleaver and that's probably where my problems lie.

Could you maybe put in a word to buff jungle GP?
Actually I think people want Carry junglers in general.

Once I get Lizard, I feel like my sustain issues are solved. Q is his big mana sink clearing. If you max Q first and rely on it for clearing all the camps you will not have mana to gank. Taking a 2nd point in W to get it feeling strong and then maxing E gives you much higher damage in ganks. Eventually(around lvl 3-4 in E and brutalizer), I am able to E the small monsters at buff camps to near death with one low priced spell cast. Once you get conservation passive, you will be taking a camp or two then ganking and repeating, and I can get 1-3 ganks like this without basing no problem.

He is still a snowball champ though, so there are many things that can go wrong that will cause you to fall behind in scaling. If you have more than one lane feeding or you fail your early gank then you need to make the right decisions the rest of the game or you might not catch back up. He is incredibly good at counterganking and has one of the best entrances to a bot lane gank in the game.

You should give hydra a go, as a jungler I would never take cleaver first because you only take them to increase your burst and hydra has better stats for junglers.

Try just building the Tiamat portion of it until you get your armor pen and durability items. With the gold it takes to upgrade to hydra you could more than pay for a brutalizer and I feel like lifesteal is wasted when I jungle Panth. The active and passive damage isn't any lower, it let's you still get to BC/LW quickly, and you can upgrade it later if the game goes late.

Brutalizer gives you enough Pen that E does great aoe on small monsters.
