Should I be worried? Even if I get the team to platinum by the end of the season, is this considered MMR boosting?

thanks in advance!
This is not considered boosting as long as each member of the team is playing on their own accounts.

We are still currently investigating accounts during pre-season and issuing out punishments. If we are to punish a player now for boosting, they will lose Season 1, 2, and 3 rewards but still be eligible for the 2014 Season. If we punish a player in the 2014 Season, Season 1, 2, 3 will be removed and they will be ineligible for the 2014 rewards.

They can't even play a solo lane because they die at level 2/3 because they never learned the basics spacing, csing, trading, warding.
I know what you mean. There is that one point where you can not physically carry the feeder. But there will always be another game and another chance to win. Ugh, I don't even know why people elo boost. I mean, I have never viewed feeding as fun.

Riot, I think its best for the community if you do a hard reset. Everyone will have a fresh new start and I think it will be healthy for the community.

After a hard reset have been enable, a Martial Law on MMR Boosting will be establish.

Like are you guys accessing information that is private; not only would that infringe our rights, but also worsen your relationship with the players/customers of the game? Because honestly, I'm a college student and I go home frequently so would I be banned for using a different computer despite it being my home? And how would you address the people sharing one computer when a family only has ONE computer which is used for various different things whether it is different accounts for different people. Are you guys accessing the IP information and basing your investigation on that? Honest questions here.
I thought of the exact same thing, but then I answered my own question lol :P

I'm sure there's a database where your IP is logged as it can also determine the location of your login. Therefore, if you frequently log in around the same area/town, I'm sure no flags will be raised. Then I thought "what if you go on vacation say in another state/province/country?" I believe if you log on in another place it's ok, but if the booster logs in (location A) and plays a couple of games and then you log in (location B) within a couple of hours, then there would be raised suspicion. Perhaps maybe an email verification would be sent to help prevent that? Perhaps a Player Behavior Specialist can rephrase what I said better because I'm just typing what's on my mind xP

Hmmm, I've always been concerned that some of the teams I am on with people I don't know that well are the product of boosting or selling. I can't prove it but it makes me worry about being punished.

If I let a friend who doesn't own the game play the tutorial (with Ashe on the howling abyss) on my account so he could check it out does that count as "sharing an account?"

Hey Riot,

I've been working towards organizing an esports (LoL) team at my college, however if we are all going to be practicing and playing on the same computers at the school, would we be red flagged for computer sharing and elo boosting? Nobody would be playing on anyone else's accounts but we would definitely be using the same computers and such.

We donf want to recieve bans and punishment just because we all meet together and play/practice on the same comps. Will this be safe for us to do? Do you investigate further than just simply what computers are logging on to which accounts?

Thanks in advance for the reply!

@Ikuno

Thanks, but the thing is Riot is not answering questions even though they said "Feel free to ask." I just want to know how shady are they gonna be...

The problem here is that the division you queue up against doesn't change that much. as a diamond player. if you're diamond 1 and duo with a bronze player you end up playing against a team of diamond 5 to plat 1 players, and your friend gets absolutely trashed.
I've played with my fair share or diamond and bronze duos as a plat player myself.

I read the first post. You mentioned little brother.

What you forgot to mention is that your ToU allows a parent or legal guardian to share their account with their under-18 child.

If you were going to mention the little brother thing, you should have mentioned that part too. I almost reported a mom for playing on her kid's account, but I read the ToU, so I knew it wasn't an offense. I'll read the other 19 posts and see if you mentioned it.

EDIT: yup, no mention of it.

If you want to limit false reports, you should mention it. Your ToU allows parents and children (minors) to share accounts, even in ranked. You can't report a mom for playing on her kid's account. You can't report a kid for jumping in to play on daddy's account.
