Sorry, I just really adore your name haha.

On topic: I think gg should be used as like a it was close or it was a good match, but if it was a 5v4 or like a 1 to 43 20 min surrender, then it's kind of rude for the winning team to be like hahaha GG WP!

i always say gg no matter what

it's just customary that you say that whether it was a good or bad game, whether you're being sportsmanlike or not, you just say gg at the end of the game

And that is completely valid. I get annoyed when people say "gg noobs." I feel like the effort was not being recognized!

Unless it's the losing teams that say it. Then it's kinda funny.

Just because the enemy had a leaver doesn't mean they didn't play well. GG WP doesn't mean "we won you lost sucks to be you," it means "good game; well played." Regardless of whether or not situations were ideal, you can still acknowledge when someone plays well, can you not?

Otherwise, I agree completely.
Poorly worded, my bad. I was picturing it like when your team is aced or you can't stop them but are trying to and everyone goes "gg" but, yeah.

Its the god damn handshake at the end of the game.

If you get offended by GG at the end of a game, you never played sports. Ever. Or else you didn't learn anything from the competition at all.

yeah, I guess that is true, I just feel like it depends how they say it. GG WP was close, in a 1 to 43 shut out is kind of rude. But saying like, you guys did well sorry for the leaver, is a good way to differentiate in a 4v5 situation. It depends on interpretation and tone, which is hard to read on the internet, sadly.
