I had several requests for a place to post game mode ideas where people can be sure that I have been able to see them. I will check this thread regularly and am happy to give feedback on any game mode ideas.

Game mode ideas include things like ARAM, All For One, First Blood.

Any ideas in that vein that tickles your fancy please post them here.

Reverse Draft.

Ban champions that you don't want to have stuck on your team.

You pick a champion that the enemy has to play.

Once all 10 champions are locked in, teammates can trade like normal, if they want to.

Regular draft pick, but the list of allotted champions is reduced to a pool of 30 random champions to pick and ban from.

Regular twisted tree line or summoners rift, but turrets deal no damage and there are no minions.

Pick a champion that will have no ultimate, but all their other cooldowns are reduced to 1 second, no mana cost and the effectiveness of the ability is reduced to half.

I would personally love to see a game mode with more than 2 teams. This could either mean several bases, even if they're a lot less fancy than the ones from Summoner's rift or Twisted Treeline, or, what sounds like a hell of a lot of fun to me, a mode in which there are 2-10 players in Summoner's Rift, FREE FOR ALL, everyone spawns at a jungle camp and the bases are off-limits. No turrets. It would basically be an intense game of hide and seek, with little to no monsters to kill and all about champion kills!

The Lol Challenge.

First team to complete 10 challenges on Summoner's Rift wins.

The challenges could literally be anything but here a couple of examples.

There can be normal ones like get a double kill or get 175 cs.

Or weird ones like place 100 wards on the map, kill the AI Teemo Bot 3 times, and run to the enemy's base without getting attacked by an enemy champion.

Idk, just a thought

Capture the Flag


Put a Flag on each team's fountain. Your goal is to get to the other team's fountain and grab their flag, dying in the process obviously. When the fountain kills you, your team gets a point. First to ten wins.

Change Places mode!

You make a team and go through champion select normally as in Blind Pick, but you get one of your ally's champions instead! You get all the runes and masteries that your ally selected.



Tower Defense mode!

Just like Summoner's Rift, except there is only one side's nexus, inhibitors, and turrets. Your team of five (ten?) plays against the AI, who spawns increasingly more powerful and numerous minions (and maybe sometimes champions). Your champions may or may not be randomly selected. Win conditions are variable; perhaps survive after a certain number of waves, a certain amount of time, or just don't have any and see how long your team lasts. To speed along gameplay, players receive Dominion-like gold flow and start at Level 3.

Deathmatch mode
Large arena in the middle, no lanes, each base is guarded by obelisk, no fountain heal, no recall, can buy if walk to base, first team to score X kills wins.
