In fact, this is a misconception! 1ϕ is actually the damage DEALT to a champion after resistances. If you want to convert to the base damages (or from them) you would have to apply some sort of conversion factor.... A Cho'gath maybe?

Teemo's stats at level 6 are 492 (bonus*) HP, 36.5 Armor, 30 MR.
36.5 Armor without APen is 26.74% mitigation.
30 MR without MPen is 23.08% mitigation.

Physical-based HP = 623 HP
Magic-based HP = 605 HP

So the best approximate value of a Teemo is the average between effective HP's, (623+605)/2 = 614

I propose 1ϕ = 614

But that is not the actual damage dealt to Teemo. Resistance fluctuate based on match up, runes, masteries, and all sorts of wonky variables. And in the end, what really matters is watching the entire health bar of a Teemo completely vanish. Therefore, I proposed a system based on the actual damage dealt to a the creature. That automatically takes the damage mitigated into effect because at the end of the day, you still have to deal ~550 damage to Teemo in order to kill the team. Yes, that means that your abilities would have to total more damage than that because armor and magic resist like to keep Teemos alive against our best efforts, but at the end of the day, you still need to take his health bar from ~550 to 0.

However... I admire your work. The ratio of this approximate value, 614, to the value of HP health, 550, has it's merits! We have arrived at our conversion factor my friends!

550/614 = ~0.896 This important number is the conversion factor required to convert damage input to a Teemo to damage output received by Teemo. As I said earlier, I believe we should call this...

The Cho'Gath Factor: ξ

Therefore... teemos of damage (in ϕ) = dξ/550, where d is the damage output.
Why ξ? A simple scientific explination... If you squint hard enough, it looks like a Cho'gath about to eat a Teemo.

The following is example math for Teemo measurements:
Faker Ahri @ 2 Dorans Rings, DFG, and Void Staff (~210 AP), level 10
Q: 280 (+136) = 416
W: 180 (+168) = 348
E: 60 (+73) = 133
R: 255 (+220) = 475
Combo Total: 1372, approximately 2.23 ϕ, 2.68 ϕ with DFG active
