Why does Dr. Lyte assume that correlation proves causation?

Aren't you supposed to learn in like psych 101 that this isn't true? You assume that bad attitudes cause more losses rather than losses causing bad attitudes. I don't get it.

Where did Lyte anywhere say it did? All the video is saying is there is a consistent trend where good behavior seems to lead to good results a majority of the time

Quotes please

Which means Riot believes that good attitudes lead to wins, and not winning leads to good attitudes.

I agree that this is mostly correlation. Players that get bad teammates rage at them. If the same players get decent players, it is pretty likely that their behaviour is not gonna be as bad (I have seen a few examples of this).

No. He's actually just stating correlation.

Correlation doesn't prove causation.

AFAIK nothing was said 100% concrete about the cause of anything. In fact, I don't remember hearing the word cause or causation in that video in the context you're talking about. I do remember him talking about correlations.

Also he uses reason.(Don't bash teammates, concentrate on winning, etc.)
Which all really makes sense.

I mean I know everyone who took a pysch class in highschool wants the chance to feel smart, but really?
