Those of you who get your gaming done on Alienware desktops, notebooks, keyboards or mice that are AlienFX enabled are in for a treat. We've recently added support to allow your AlienFx lights to react to League of Legends gameplay, warning you when you're near death, in danger, or when you should be pouncing on that enemy champion for a kill.
If you're already on an Alienware FX machine, and want to get start the epic light show, you should see a new option in the in-game options menu called: "AlienFX". Checking this box will prompt your lights to react dynamically to in game events, providing you with additional feedback on gameplay situations. We know, of course, that summoners can be a particular bunch, so if you want to customize how your AlienFX lights react while you're playing, follow these steps:
Locate the LightFX.ini typically found by following this path: C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Game\DATA\CFG\defaults\
Copy the LightFX.ini file
Paste the file in the CFG folder: C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Game\DATA\CFG\
Customize the new file however you’d like
It's important to note that the original file should not be edited.
Additional setup instructions can be found in the file itself. So if you're really tech savvy, and you've just engineered an AlienFX setup that you think other summoners will enjoy, feel free to post it here. If it's really amazing, we just might add to League of Legends as an option in the future.
