oh.. try this:

Drag the LoL icon to your application map, then open it from there.
It worked for me.

Same with me:
Version 10.8.2
MacbookPro 2010
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Log list after clicking LoL icon says: no information back from LS about running processes
When I open package contents and try to run UserKernel manually log list says:
USER_Process: 2539 ttys000
DEAD_Process: 2539 ttys000
(not sure if this is important but it looks the part)
So I assume overall that somewhere along the line some code gets wiry and cuts off the start processes. Reinstalling fixes it but at 4 hours a pop I'd much rather like to know the source of the error..

Please and thank you.

EDIT*- Also if any mods wants me to upload a user diagnostic report for the actual league app just let me know. This sucker is long.
EDIT(2)* - Never mind just going to do it, I see errors for the UserKernel:
Application Specific Information:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSImageCacheException', reason: 'Cannot lock focus on image <NSImage 0x26b5f0 Size={0, 0} Reps=(
)>, because it is size zero.'

and

Thread 8 crashed with X86 Thread State (32-bit):

... God I hope I'm not revealing sensitive system information.. I can dig deeper if someone just tells me how.
