I was just wondering what it takes to get into voice acting? Ive been thinking about getting into it so I could possibly voice a champion in the future, but I wouldnt even know where to start.

Anyone know?

Gotta have the voice.

Being a voice actor would indeed be fun but like acting its competitive.

Start with an agent.

Take acting lessons first. Most aspiring 'voice actors' forget about the second part and think that VA work is just making funny voices.

Once you have a year or so of acting, buy the equipment and start making demo reels. Work for fandubs, etc.

Practice. You need to be able to do multiple types of voices and accents.

Make a tape that consists of a short story with multiple characters that have very different voice requirements (bandit, noble, western, southern, child, ect). Make sure that for each voice you put on the tape that you can actually voice that role - don't include a role that you can only efficiently voice one line for.

Get an agent.

Send that tape to multiple companies/directors/ect.

Practice some more.
