This seems to happen randomly, more often when i am in champion select or viewing my own profile. I attached a pic and my log file. BTW regarding Error # 2002 I found the correct log file that shows when the problem happened and attached the log to the old post. So if you could tell rabid llama about it i would appreciate it.

Actually it seems to only happen when i close the lol app. Will we need to keep it open every time we play the game?

Yes you will. While it appears as though the patcher quits in Windows, it is actually still running as a process. We can't accomplish on the Mac do to the way that Mac architecture is.

We will be adding a message so that if you attempt to quit this application, it will tell you that quitting will make it so that you will be unable to play League of Legends.

oh ok, I asked about that a while back but was told it wasn't suppose to stay on. Yea a warning would help out so many new people to the mac version. Thanks for the help!
