You have a rune page so you can cover early weakness. Not enough sustain/defense? Get sustain/defense runes. Not fast enough jungling? Almost every jungler does better with AS Marks. Mobility? MS Quints.
Her shield and damage starts to be enough for camps post lvl3 to not lose much hp, but before she takes a good bit of damage especially on blue the 1st time because of her shield's CD (and I run runes purely for early game power, AS%/Armor/AP/AP all flat as well as minion damage reduction 4 and 6 armor from defense), and don't think Spellvamp, Hp5, or lifesteal quints would really solve the problem, as even with Spellvamp quints, and codex + 1pot the 2% heal off AoEs won't do much.

So basically she needs some cloth armor item to be added post boot changes, or her early game will be horribly vulnerable to counter jungling or forced into gp10 she doesn't want -_-.

Cloth Armour builds into Aegis...
Every team needs an Aegis...
It's best to get Aegis on a jungler, due to the fact that they're in more team-fights (constantly roaming/ganking), Aegis is super cost effective and jungler gold is limited...

Aegis is terrible on someone like Diana... She is built to jump on the carry and force him out of the fight and then clean-up.

Aegis is terrible on NO-ONE! Everyone benefits greatly from Aegis, and as a jungler, dispite being an assassin, you still need a certain minimum level of tankiness if you don't have access to stealth...
Jarven, Irelia, Nocturne, Pantheon, Xin... In a team-fight end game, you simply cannot go full glass-cannon with most champions... Anyone can utilize Aegis, and in my experience, the jungler benefits the most from it...

Diana has an AP scaling shield meaning she wants defensive stats + AP on items to be efficient, Aegis is great on a lot of junglers, but not necessarily AP junglers, and 2k on a zero dmg item is too much for her especially since it doesn't offer CDR either.

Aegis isn't terrible but it is less useful for someone who is supposed to be ganking with some kind of damage.
AD characters usually have wriggles or Phage. What AP equivilant is there?

Yes, when ganking, damage is important, but so is surviving...
Even on an AP assassin, you still need to survive long enough to get into range, kill, then retreat...
Even as an AP jungler, you still have the option of starting with Cloth Armour, you could then choose to rush a Haunting Guise etc for damage/survivability, maybe build into a Rylai's for the stronger ganks, then come back and build Aegis later on down the track... It'll sit there for a longer time than on most AD junglers, but it's still effective, Cloth Armour still helps you survive your first clear, Cloth Armour is not simply limited to AD junglers because they can build Wriggle's and an AP jungler can't...

Diana has a shield, which means resistances are more important to her than health is... It'll make her shield last lnoger, granting her survivability and allowing her to do her job effectively... Sure, AP will increase the strength of the shield, but so will Armour and MR...
AP jungler's don't NEED an equivilent of Wriggle's... Kage's + HoG... Cloth Armour > Aegis... Haunting Guise, Kindlegem > Shurelya's

Agreed they don't, but I'd like something with a moderate AP item built from cloth armor since the current cloth armor items aren't always desirable on an AP jungler...

For example you have Cho'gath top taking Frozen Heart, and Support Leona taking Aegis. Which Omen(very Niche on AP), Thornmail(BAD choice), Ninja Tabi(Worth it sometimes), or GA(Only good when REALLY fed).

And AD junglers dont NEED to have a wriggles, but it IS an option they have that AP doesn't.
Since ad junglers can get Gp5 AND wriggles they get 1ks of gold ahead of AP junglers.
