I'm in the 1200 ELO range on EUW right now and it's worse than the 1100s by a large margin. New ranked players have no idea about roles and -not intentionally- but tend trollpick their own team. I just had a game where I had to tell the support to buy wards and to not lasthit.

What a ranked training should consist:
-roles
-warding, where/when. significance of pink wards and oracles
-lasthitting, zoning
-roles in teamfights, what focusing means, who to focus and how and who to protect

There does need to be a new training means to teach the newer players and bring them up to speed.

For the time being, you could send them here? Since we only have so many means to teach people.

Lyte, did you think about limited player who can play ranked game ?

Right now, any lvl 30 can play ranked game. Example :

Player A : 300 normal game, knows the basics of PVP.
Player B : 10 normal game, 300 coop vs AI.

Player B will be toxic for player A in ranked game. This result in a loss for these two. Sadly, with time, player A will rage about it.

Who's toxic ? Player A who rage about unskilled player B or player B because he knows nothing about PVP ?

That's why Riot should increase lvl max of this game or give a minimum amount of normals games played to acess ranked game.


Also, why there is no tutorial for players about ranked games ? I'm thinking about a real tutorial, about picks, bans, competition and results.


Just sharing ideas here with my horrrrrrrrrrible grammar/language. x)

I just got matched with not one, but TWO new rankers... and I have over 500 games in ranked. As expected, they were the worst on the team, and me at 1301 Elo, apparently the significantly better player on the team.

Low Elo, yep. Can't carry and get up to my real Elo when I get matched with these.

The percentages are still somewhat close to this. That said, we've been reevaluating our philosophy on who should get rewards, and we no longer believe that only the top ranked players should be placed into a tier. We'll be making an announcement on this sometime soon™.
