((In this RP our characters will be traveling to the Shadow Isles from Demacia to see what's there. There is very little known about the area, so stay on your toes. I will accept anyone at any time, so you can join while we're there, say as someone traveling there or as a native. I will not deny anyone entry into this RP unless I deem them overpowered. There will also be soldiers with us during the expedition, and my mage, Melzemar, will be leading it.))

Characters so far:
Melzemar (Ovalusc1) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/867
Vintath (Ovalusc1) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1065
Zero (Necromonger) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/435
Aine (Jaykoboy) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1135
Nite (Boogeybeast) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/50
Overlord Forte (Overlord Forte) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/493
Hrothgar (Buffalo Sold) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1113
Areeyem (DeepWaterDragon) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1340
Xennosis Auruim (Herald of Time) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1342
Xendarr (AJL) http://summoners.shurelia.com/profiles/1341

((this is how the RP starts))
As you are traveling in Demacia by a port, you notice a ship with several soldiers around it and two men wearing robes. One was shorter, wearing a black robe with triangles embroidered on it. He carried a staff with a golden triangle floating above the top of it. The other was taller and wore a green robe, and carried a plain staff with nothing on it.
((If you wish to join, simply walk up to whoever you think is leading whatever you think you see happening and talk to them about joining. If I think your character is overpowered I will tell you and give you a chance to fix it. If it is still overpowered then I will have Melzemar say that they cannot join.))
((I will accept applications from now until noon on saturday EST, then the ship will embark. You can still join after that, but it won't be at the port.))

"You're off yer rocker, lass. There ain't no ship cap'n gonna brave the Shadow Isles fer mere coin." a large, burly port worker said to a young, bespectacled girl of indiscernible ethnicity. The girl had been exploring the ports of city states over the last few days, personally approaching ship crews. Her approach, her calm demeanor, and her pretty face garnered warm welcomes from sailors aplenty, though as conversation went on they would find something repulsive about this particular girl. She was eventually turned away, and it had been going on like this for awhile now.

"Thank. you." She said, largely in a monotone but a small hint of human emotion. She did not blink throughout the conversation, which caused curious sea men to talk behind her back, bringing up wild tales of cursed women. Zero ignored all these, seeing as the opinion of others had very, very little impact on her.

Zeropurchased a bottle of water to relieve her thirst, as she found one more ship laden with soldiers. Patting out her travelling coat and adjusting her glasses, she picks up her large shoulder bag and approached. She had a general policy to stay away from military vessels, but there were also magi accompanying them. She discerned their presence with Witch Sight, though she does not bother to gauge their power. She approaches one of the mages, the one in green.

"Greetings. I. would. like. to. inquire. as. to. the. availability. of. hired. service. of. this. ship. or. its. destination." In the plain clothes of an botanical university student, Zero really does appear like a mundane civilian. However, her glasses had small, arcane inscriptions in the frame- the ink work of a highly competent magi, a seal meant to hold something back. To casual observers it was a pleasant looking decoration- to those who know better, the glasses was an item of no small significance, the item dedicated to fulfilling a single arcane task.

((So joining in on this. I'm going to try something some people have difficulty with; RPing with a girl while still being a boy. Granted, baby steps; they're a bit of a tomboy. But still, I may not (Almost guaranteed) understand how they work. Please, feel free to correct me OOC. (Also, no chance of this one being OP. Sword? Armor? Smithing skills? Agility? Very basic.)

Aine walked alongside the waterfront of Demacia, admiring the boats and their crews. Of course, that wasn't why she was here. A bit of pickpocketing, grab some stuff for Jayko, and maybe a couple of stories, as well. The seamen here always had some good yarns to spin out for the passerby; all you had to do was sit and listen.

Of course, she realized you sometimes had to make your own stories. That is the main reason she was there. Jayko was off on a quest, as usual, so there was as much time as she needed to get him some armor polish back. Might as well do something of her own.

There was one ship that stood out among the others. It was large; plenty enough to hold the massive amounts of cargo being loaded onto it. Its sails were dreary, and hung limp by their masts, not a shred of wind pushing them forwards. The sea lapped across the bow of the magnificent vessel, distilling the gold leafing into the murky water. When the light struck it right, it seemed to explode in light. The gold crowns decorating the aft designated it as a rich vessel, only recently built. There were warriors and knights walking around it, preparing for the journey ahead of them. Standing nearby the vessel were two men in cloaks, one short with a black ornately designed cloak, the other tall with nothing on his green cloak. Approaching them, she smiled.

"Hey. What's going on here? Seems like you're making a pretty big fuss right now. Must be important with all of these supplies and people."

Vintath started to answer, but Melzemar pushed him aside and said, "This ship has been hired by the Demacian government and it's purpose is to go to the Shadow Isles. I'm leading the expedition, and this is my apprentice, Vintath."
"How do you do?" asked Vintath, holding out his hand to shake.
Something about the girl before them not only unsettled Vintath and Melzemar, but there was also something strangely familiar about her.
((Accepted, thanks for joining.))

Melzemar turned away from the woman to talk to the new arrival. "This ship is going to the Shadow Isles. You're a Demacian soldier, right?"

"I. am. at. optimal. condition." Zero answered the question quite straightforwardly. She took out a few documents to sum up her identity and intentions. The papers were yellowing and old, but they carried stamps from the Institute department of Research.

" I. require. passage. to. the. Shadow. Isles. to. investigate. the. presence. of. a. few. rare. plants. documented. to. have. grown. there." She clarifies the significance of each parchment, which had hand-drawn plants with Ionian names. Anyone who knew the language would see that the herbs may have had potential medical and spiritual properties.

"As. a. researcher. I. am. willing. to. pay. for. passage. to. the. Isles. or. offer. services. including. basic. alchemy. and. navigation. and. assist. with. sewing. and. cooking." She concluded her statement. There was an unspoken rule than real ninjas and assassins never declare that they were such- though she anticipated that on such a journey, the chances of combat encounters may reveal who she is.

((Accepted, thanks for joining. Also, I have one named Ovalusc that's number 74, but the only RP I ever used him in died shortly after its creation. D)

Seeing she wasn't going to shake hands, Vintath drew his hand back. He looked at the documents and saw how useful they could be. (He can read Ionian.)
"You can come with us. No payment will be necessary if you're willing to help," he said to her.

Aine rolled her eyes. "No, I just like to parade around in shiny Demacian armor for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Yep, I'm Demacian. Shadow Isles, eh? Mind if I tag along? I could use something to do."
