Dear Shyvana,

As is the case with Katarina, I have not actually summoned you on the fields of justice yet, so I haven't had the chance to connect with your mind.

Therefore, I must ask what you think of Veigar, Amumu, and Jax. My three favorite champions.

Thank you in advance.

Its an honor seeing how many champions are willingly to answer questions right now, and for some reasons it starts to make me suspicious of all of you. . . .

But nevertheless i shall enjoy while it last, so to you, our beautiful half-dragon (because we all belong to the world), i have questions for you.

First: æI know your style of fighting is very aggressive and i pretty much enjoy it, but aside from accepting your fellow companions ideas of ambush, have you took the lead to control a situation in some matches? æif so how do you plan ahead as your most favored style (taking out storming head-on ripping flaming guts)

Second: Since you know a bit of Leona, i have to ask æDo you have an opinion or information regarding pantheon? i do summon him more often than others since i feel more akin to his fighting style, everytime i summon pantheon to the league i feel let's say..."stronger". So maybe if i knew something i could understand why of this
Hello, Ršndom Guy. I'm not sure how to pronounce that, but I suppose most people just use 'random', so, so shall I.

I have no doubt that LeBlanc started all this to slowly curry favor to Noxus, but you don't have to worry about that sort of manipulation from me, not even in the name of Demacia. I'm nothing if I'm not a direct woman, and I will never trash my word. I gave reasons for starting an advice column, and they are the complete truth.

So, for your first question... like I said, I'm nothing if I'm not direct. When I take charge of a fight, I use my Burnout, take my true form, and leap right on top of the whole enemy team, tower or not. The whole enemy team can unload on me, it won't matter, they are never a match for the power of a dragon. And while they're distracted by my having set them all ablaze, splattering their guts across their own tower, my team can quite leisurely finish them off. I guess this is what you Summoners call 'tanking', but I don't consider myself one of those. I just start the fight, and when I start a fight, the enemy doesn't have the luxury to "ignore her, focus Vayne." They pay attention to me, or they die. Though, that second option happens either way.

For your second question, I've never spoken more than a few words to Pantheon. I can't say I approve of his strategy of hiding behind his shield, but I'll never deny his ability to kill. What's rather amazing to me is how effective a death dealer he is, with only a simple spear as a weapon. A metal prong on a stick, that's all he's got, and yet, he's lethal. As for his bravery, what else is there to say? He leaps into the heart of a fight without a second thought, and his love of combat is on such a level that... well, he's one of the few people I'd say has the heart of a dragon. He enjoys killing, it's fun for him. My dragon side quite approves of that, but I don't think that's entirely a good thing. In fact, it's the main reason I don't speak to him all that much. It really makes me wonder the kind of person he is in everyday life, if he can enjoy what we do as much as he does. So... I respect him, but at the same time, the things I respect about him also make me leery of him, if that makes sense.

As I understand it, Leona feels the same way. I suppose this is one of the reasons she and I get along so well. Despite her passive mindset and purely defensive style, she and I are quite similar in a lot of ways.

Hello, Abawmb.

As I understand it, Wukong is a student of Master Yi, so naturally I have nothing against him. And actually, we have spoken quite a lot, but not in the way you're probably thinking. Wukong is obsessed with being the greatest champion in the League, and to that end, he's actually asked me to show him a thing or two. But I don't have the patience to teach people anything, and my fighting style isn't all that complicated... plus, it clashes heavily with the 'Wuju' style. So, mostly, I've just told him of my training exercises, the routines I use in the barracks, and at home.

Hello Jaykoboy.

Ha. I know I get angry easily, but no, I won't kill the messenger. I'll take his letter, but you're free to read it to me, if you want.

Hello, NoDenial.

Well, if you ever do summon me, please don't be cautious. If you're going to have me sit around the tower, you're wasting both our times. Tell me to go on a relentless attack, and you will win.

Veigar is a sad case, and one of the reasons I despise Noxus. For all their propaganda, they neglect to mention the fact that they tortured a Yordle into complete insanity. I do wonder if Noxian supporters are unaware of this fact or just don't... I digress, Summoner, I apologize. Veigar is a mage. I respect mages, since they've mastered a skill that I can't even do parlor tricks with, but like you'd imagine, I simply can't respect what they do as much as I respect the talents of someone like Garen, or Leona. Veigar doesn't truly enter the heat of battle. I know he's a Yordle, so it's hard for him to match strength with someone like me, but nevertheless, that's my opinion on what he does.

Amumu... like I said before, at a certain point, I think he needs to man up. But, Prince Jarvan helped me in my own moment of severe weakness, so I try to do the same for Amumu. I talk to him when we're together, it's the least I can do. As for what I think of his talents... I'm torn. Sobbing in the heat of battle couldn't be less like what I do out there, but on the other hand, not only does Amumu dive into the heart of battle, he lassos someone and yanks himself into the heart of battle. And his ability to take a beating is simply amazing. I've seen him take punishment from a whole team, shrug it off, and kill two of them before his backup could arrive. That's part of why I do my best to talk to him when he's moping and sulking around the Institute of War. Appearances are deceiving - Amumu is nothing less than a true warrior.

Sadly, I know very little about Jax. I don't even know what he is, but apparently, I'm not alone about that. I will say that his fighting talent is amazing. I mean, he's armed with a lamp post and he's still one of the most dangerous champions I've ever fought. I can't imagine what he'd be like if he used a real weapon.

Miss shyvana,

Don't worry about the name, its just an alias i've been given from many people for not being able to give my name due to an "incident" that had me to do with...let's say "almost every city". It seems i draw the short straw in luck for getting in the middle of the start of battles, so...to basically stay alive i end up making quit e the destruction of both parties.

So due to this little fact i went to a more desserted area where little people live get myself some breath.

In any case, question of the day is: æAside from being at the barracks and training or helping trainees, is there a hobby you like to enjoy yourself with?

-Ršndom Guy

Or Kraad if you want, won't hurt to know my name,

...I see.

I don't have much time for hobbies, and even if I did, can you really picture me piecing together a ship in a bottle? No... the closest thing to a hobby, I suppose would be my interest in history. When Prince Jarvan took me to Demacia and allowed me to become such a high ranking soldier, the first book he gave me was The Measured Tread. When I was done with that, I was required to read a few books on the history of Demacia, military strategies, and especially a lot about the relations between Demacia, Noxus, and Ionia. I didn't much care for all the reading at first, but when I finished it all, I realized that becoming so educated really helped me control my true form.

Before I met Prince Jarvan, I'd change shape with the slightest provocation. Today, it's almost like a switch - I decide when I take my true form, and only then does it happen. Prince Jarvan had me meet with some Ionian meditation experts (I hated them and the feeling was likely mutual), and though they helped, I've found that nurturing and educating my human side is what really allowed me to take full control of both my forms. So, when I have enough free time, I do enjoy reading. Military and history books mostly; I don't have the time for, or interest in fictional novels. Besides, military history is obviously important for any good soldier to know.

Dear Shyvana.

On the contrary. i can actually imagine you piercing the boat inside of a bottle, can't judge a book by its cover.

In any case since from your response i can understand you have quite a knowledge in history, and in fact for some reason i was getting the idea you were like that, someone with an interest in the past.

In any case:æ Is there anything about the history of valoran that you have enjoyed while reading it? æif so which?

Salutes you
Kraad

PS- I have to admit that being in Fyrone Flats has its advantage, if you ever come near here and pass by, my door is always open for everyone. Have a nice day

I'd likely destroy the bottle in frustration before I built anything inside it.

I don't want to sound like a sappy little girl, but I quite enjoyed reading the history of Demacia, the citystate that took me in and turned me into who I am today. Prince Jarvan finding me was the best thing to ever happen to me, and I'm grateful for every moment I've lived since that day. Reading all about how my new home came to be was a treat.

To that end, how Noxus was finally removed from Ionia was another fantastic read. I wish Demacia had done more for Ionia, but I wasn't here, I have no right to make judgments about how our decision makers saw the situation. Hindsight is always so clear, after all. I'm sure Prince Jarvan did what he thought was the best thing to do, at the time, and that's all anybody can and should expect of any decision maker.

Hello, Evan.

My first week... it's not something I talk about, but I suppose I should get over it.

Prince Jarvan escorted straight to the center of government. As we walked, many citizens saw me, including Garen and Luxanna. Most citizens had no idea what I was, but at that point, I hadn't mastered maintaining a purely human form. My eyes were glowing, my skin was gray, and my nails were more like talons. I terrified some children, and several guards rushed over, thinking I was about to attack their Prince until they got closer and realized I was being escorted. I was in peasant's clothes, which themselves were torn and stained with blood. I had been holding my father's dead body, so I was covered in his blood. Suffice to say, if first impressions count for anything, my image in the eyes of Demacians was screwed for months.

I won't bore you with the details of what happened in the center of government. Basically, Prince Jarvan told my story and fought for my right to join the Demacian military. He also used me as a reason to convince everyone to end the dragon hunts.

Most people were nervous around me, but since very few people have more sway within Demacia than Prince Jarvan, his word was law and I became a Demacian.

After getting cleaned up and given some standard infantry armor, I was given a home. Then, Garen showed me around the barracks, introduced me to the quartermasters, drill instructors, and other important people, and showed me the general areas that on-duty soldiers tended to eat or relax in Demacia during their breaks from training. Looking back, I'm surprised Garen put up with me. I'm pretty sure I said all of ten words that whole first day. But he never stopped being courteous. I don't know if he understood me, but he at least accepted me, and that meant a lot. I can see why Luxanna loves him so much, he must have been a great sibling to have growing up.

Anyway, that was the first couple days.

On my first day of basic training, I was immediately given a copy of The Measured Tread. When training began... I won't gloat, I'll be honest - I breezed through it all without much effort. As a half-dragon, I'm simply capable of more than most normal humans can ever hope to be. After I broke a training partner's arm without even trying to hurt him, I was bumped right up to the most intense training the Demacian military could inflict upon a person. It was there that I got the difficulty I needed to really train and improve.

Now, towards the end of the day, Xin Zhao offered to train with me. During our spar, I got too into it, and erupted into my true form. I continued to attack him for a few seconds before I managed to control my rage. I think you can imagine the panic that followed. When I finally calmed down enough to take my human form again, I Xin Zhao and my drill instructor brought me to Garen, who had Prince Jarvan summoned over to us. I was sure that was it for me, but no. Prince Jarvan insisted I just needed more training, and to my surprise, neither Garen nor Xin Zhao were angry with me. Xin Zhao wasn't too happy with me, but I'd think he was insane if he didn't care.

So, Prince Jarvan sent for some meditation experts from Ionia. He thought the Ionians would help me find some kind of balance between my two sides, help me control them, or something. But meditation was not my thing. I hated it, and my progress reflected it. Towards the end, the Ionians were sick of me, and I was sick of them. But luckily, one piece of advice from them worked. They told me that, to better keep my human side in control, I had to experience life with it. If you want to think of it like this, my human side is like a muscle, and I had to exercise it, use it, make it stronger.

I wasn't sure what to do. I went home that night, and got started on reading through The Measured Tread. I finished that night. A couple hours after I finished, I realized that reading through that book had made me forget about the unfortunate events of the day before, and the inner rage I was always fighting. So, the next day, I told the meditation experts what I felt. They told me, if it worked, to jump on it. So I went to the Barracks and retrieved various books about Demacian history, and military strategy. And for the next couple days, between the Ionian's cursed meditation rituals, and the books, I felt far more control over my dragon side than I ever thought possible. At that point, I told Prince Jarvan that I felt I could try my active training again.

The intense training went fine, but to make sure, Prince Jarvan insisted we do exactly what we did the last time I lost control. So, with Garen and Luxanna ready to neutralize me if I lost it, I sparred with Xin Zhao again. Sad to say, he bested me. But not only did I keep control, I was never in danger of losing it. You'd think losing a duel would piss me off, and it sure did, but no more than it'd annoy you, or anyone else. That loss was the greatest victory I'd ever had.

I know this is now beyond the week's timeframe you said, but next week, Prince Jarvan visited me, with Garen, and a pair of blacksmiths. Prince Jarvan had commissioned three armors for me, which I'm sure you're familiar with. He told me that, because of my victory over my emotions, nobody in the Demacian government had any major issues with me anymore, and I was officially a member of Demacia's elite military force. The armor and gauntlets were a gift from him to me. They were enchanted by the College of Magic to grow with my form, and were to identify me as an elite soldier, and strike fear in the hearts of anyone who'd have me dead for what I am. They're a tribute to what I am, and to who and what my father was.

It's because of all this, I am proud to say, I am a Demacian. Many people would have had me killed for what I am. Most citystates would have exiled me for what I had done. But Prince Jarvan and my fellow Demacians showed me understanding and kindness, the likes of which I neither deserved, nor expected. Let Demacia's detractors spread their lies and propaganda until they're blue in the face, it doesn't matter. I'm proud to be the proof of Demacia's true mindset, and sense of justice.

Victory for our allies, defeat for our enemies, and justice for all.

...I'm insulted. Maybe the degenerated sadists of Noxus murder the messengers, but it's not the Demacian way, or mine.
