As you may already know, the League of Legends development team includes Steve "Guinsoo" Feak, the original creator of DotA Allstars, and Steve "Pendragon" Mescon who started DotA-Allstars.com, and has worked closely with the DotA community for the past five years.

What you may not know, is that the League of Legends team also includes many game industry veterans, who collectively have shipped dozens of successful titles.

I don't really know anything about it that you don't, and we don't have nearly enough information about what's going on to say if it makes a difference to us at all.

Would Riot hire him on if he was interested in joining the team? The only reason I ask is because MOD ip is a weird animal. There are already two other iterations of DotA (HoN and Demonoid). I like the MOBA concept and I wish you all the best success. I'm not asking to bring up a bad relations.

I'd assume that you have a LITTLE more knowledge then me considering you'd be in a position to contact him about opportunities at Riot. Maybe you have a history.

Thanks for the response.

Wow. I am a big fan of LoL and never actually knew the technical resources driving the development. Definitely some powerful and experienced names.

Half the riot staff appear to be former Perpetual Entertainment employees. Makes me wonder if any of the work done on the Perpetual Game Engine carried over to riot

"League of Legends has improved juke mechanics"

Disagree. Juking was way easier in DOTA, given the larger differential in movement speeds and the sharper angles for fog of war.
