What I'm asking is will you be balancing exclusively for Summoner's Rift or have you built the platform necessary to balance both Dominion and Summoner's rift; can I sit back and play one mode without fear of balance changes targeted at another mode negatively affecting the mode I play? Is Dominion just a casual PvP mode that you aren't taking too seriously balance-wise?

To Illustrate my point:

Say Y is balanced on SR
Say Y is underpowered on Dominion

Now say you want Y to be viable on Dominion.
So let's say you buff Y.
Now Y is OP on SR because of the buffs targeted at Dominion gameplay.

Are you capable of balancing both modes or will you ignore one mode?

Alright, this has been posted like a million times.

Dominion mode will not affect champions in regards to buff/nerfs.

Any buffs/nerfs will be done to items that are avaliable, and replacing them.

There is no longer Banshee's veil, there is Odin's Veil.

Snowballs items have also been removed (So i believe)

But surely balance changes on SR will have an affect on champion viability in Dominion mode. How will they account for that relationship? Do they think items, alone, will be a good enough way to balance on Dominion?

If it effects them one dominion then it'll effect them just as much on SR.

Since dominion isnt like TT where you can't have any champ play and be viable.

Really? They are getting rid of banshee? :/ also I'm pretty sure they have enough resources, but I guess we will find out when it comes out. Though I bet alot of people QQ about it later

Why is that? They're two entirely different modes. I think TT and SR have more in common than SR and Dominion based on the information we have been given thus far. Dominion doesn't even have a laning phase.

Take SR and TT, for example. Both are basically the same mode but different maps. TT balance is pretty horrible and every attempt to balance on TT has had negative affects on SR and vice-versa. Those maps are in the same mode. Wouldn't attempted balancing across modes create an even greater balance issue in all the modes?

They have the rescources to balance 50 modes. Too bad they spend all the resources on new champions and making casual game modes.

Why can't some champs excel on different maps/modes?

Overpowered champions are bad for the game's health.

The only real issue is if champions are balanced against each other. You have to find some new ways to use a champion in Dominion, but if it's viable on Summoner's Rift, it should also be viable, if in a different way, in the Crystal Scar.

It's not like Dominion is going to make new roles exist. There will still be tanks and carries and assassins and mages. They'll just be doing different jobs now. So long as Tank A is as good a tank as Tank B, they should perform equally well as each other in both game modes.
