Attack Speed + Armour? [Item Suggestion]
Ever note that there are no items that fall directly under the attack speed and armour banner?
There are attack speed and AP - Guinsoo's RB
AS and HP - Tri Force
AS and MP - Tri Force
etc etc but nothing that gives a buff to armour and attack speed. In DotA there was the (very expensive) Assault Cuirass which gave a good armour bonus and a 55% atk speed increase.
I can think of plenty of heroes who could benefit from this kind of item:
Squishies and fighters who rely on attack speed are faced with impossible builds, or massive item dependency and it can be hard to afford, and often if you don't have a dream start then you end up too far behind the eight ball to help your team.
Therefore i am making an item suggestion:
Monkey King Crown: - $600
1x Cloth Armour - $300
1x Chain Vest - $700
1x Recurve Bow - $1050
Total Cost $2650
Grants the wearer 80 Armour and 50% Increased attack speed. PASSIVE: Grants 5% increased attack speed to nearby friendly units
I think this item is not over powered given its price when compared to an item like Sword of the Divine etc.
Or it could be made as an expensive item:
Monkey King Crown - 600
2x Chain Vest - 1400
1X Recurve Bow - 1050
1x Dagger - 400
total - 3450
grants the wearer 120 bonus armour and 60% attack speed. PASSIVE: Generates a 5% bonus attack speed and Armour Aura for all nearby friendlies. (that does not stack on the wearer)
madreds bloodrazer gives 30 armor and 40% attack speed
one based more around the combo could be nice though
chain mail and a stinger with a combination cost(700g) -> 15% CDR, 50% Attack Speed, 70 Armor, UNIQUE Passive: every time the champion is attacked, it gains 3 physical damage, each stack lasts 5 seconds individually, stacks up to 10 times
buying it gets you 5% cdr, 10% attack speed and 25 armor for 700 gold, in addition to the passive:
the passive works well with armor decreasing the damage taken while increasing your damage output, while the attack speed monopolizes on this by getting more attacks out in the 5 second duration for each stack(each stack doesnt refresh the other stacks durations, they have individual timer of 5 seconds each)
it may seem rather weak at first, but if a single champion is attacking you, you should stack up to 5 at least, and with 2 or more attacking you, you will cap the damage rather easily giving 30 free damage
as for yours, making it purely stats seems kinda boring, especially for an expensive item, and the passive seems again rather boring and lackluster
This totally goes against the idea of what the characters you're trying to help's role is. If you're playing a carry, the idea is to stack damage and position yourself on the team so they have to run through tanks and CC before they get to you. If you're playing characters like Garen, Olaf, there are plenty of items already that supplement their skills enough where they don't need this.
Or you could just get two separate items when you want two completely different stats.
Or grab an Atma's Impaler and not waste gold on attack speed.
I love how you say Kat needs attack speed, though. Considering attack speed on Kat is completely worthless. Same with Rammus and Garen.
5% attack speed.
Why not make it an item which gives you more attack speed the more times you are attacked?
Each time said champ is attacked, attack speed increases by 4%, increase is doubled when attacked by enemy champion. Cap of 50% attack speed.
Noodle0117 gives a nice idea. It gives the tank something more to do. It gives Yi more insaneness at the same time. Hahaha
most melee dps are made to be semitanks, who take damage but not as well as a tank, while dishing out a lot, hence them being melee having to be in the middle of fights to do any damage
xin would absolutely love an item with these stats, as would a yi that isnt building glass and a few others
also, depending on what passive is given to it, it would be used by more, straight AS and armor is a bit niche, but with a passive made to help dpsing semitanks, itd be workable on more than just xin and yi
