Hey Dom forum!
I've been playing LoL for just over a year, and I haven't really played Dominion since the first month it came out. I normally play SR. I would like to start playing Dominion again, since I recall it being really fun. I don't even really know why I stopped in the first place.
That being said, what tips do you guys have for me? Summoner's spells, runes/masteries, what roles go in which lane, etc. I'm completely at a loss, so any information you can give is a help for me.

With those proffered up, there are a few things to understand.
The style is much more skirmish based than full on team fight. What this means is you will be frequently handling smaller fights, 1v1, 2v2, etc. rather than large scale 5v5. Aim towards building tanky, even on traditionally squishy champs. Even a little bit of defense can go a long way.
To this end, I find that 9 in Defense is wildly popular, specifically getting AR/MR, the point in improving summoner's and all the HP picks. Early HP is really useful.
ArP/MPen is still very popular for runes, even with the aura. Mana regen is mostly provided by the aura, so most don't build for it, unless you're a really really mana hungry champ.
On any AD using champ, the popular start is Prospector's Blade and Boots and some potions. Prospector's Ring is a somewhat dicier choice on AP champs and whether to start seems to be a topic of discussion.
Most popular opening move is sending 1 person bottom, 1 person mid and 3 people top. Once the person mid captures the point, they head top. This is not gospel per se, but I'd say 99.9% of all the matches I've played (I'm up to around 1500 matches) start in this fashion.
As for the lane matchups and what not, those guides handle it far better than I ever could and in much more depth and quality. However, the most accepted rule seems to be sending a tanky sustainable AP bottom. However, this is again is not a strict rule, I've seen assassins and AD carries go bot as well. The trick is that you want someone who can clear minions waves effectively, usually someone who has an escape (ganks happen a lot at bottom) and someone who can sustain well so they can keep pressure on the lane. Remember, winning the lane isn't as important as not losing it.
Oh right, one final thing. If you're just starting out, Exhaust is probably the single best summoner spell you can start with. Ghost is very popular as well. Flash is not nearly as important as SR and Ignite has some use as well. Clarity, Clairavoyance, Smite are all pretty much never seen. Garrison and Revive are kings at high levels of play, but if you're just starting out, I suggest Exhaust / Ghost or Exhaust / Garrison.
EDIT: Whoops, forgot Promote. It's decent, usually taken by bottom laners. Don't really see it a whole lot but it has a nice use for keeping pressure on a lane that you're not in. That is to say, if your opponent ports back, you can use promote and port back and keep good pressure on the lane while you're shopping. If you had enough minions built up, you could either force your opponent to return early or even neutralize the point without even being there!
Thank you! Dominion came out shortly after I started LoL, so when I played, I was a noob all around. I haven't played since, so I play like a lvl 5 when I join Dominion. It's quite sad.
You're welcome. Please keep in mind that what I have is really really basic and aimed at starting Dominion. Some of the stuff does change as you get up there in Elo and those guides do a fantastic job of covering the various in's and out's. I highly suggest giving the Nekogren guide a read through first and after a few games you would want to look at Sauron's guide.
