A Question to the "Asks"
Do you guys have access to lore ahead of time? Do you communicate with Riot to provide accurate responses? Thank you for your responses.

Jaykoboy 05-06-2012 09:58 PM

As far as I'm aware of, they're mostly just guys who are big fans of the lore.

General Peaches 05-06-2012 09:58 PM

I believe the "Asks" simply respond in the way they believe the champion would respond, while keeping up to date on the lore. They likely do not have access to the lore in advance.

You've gotta understand that 95% of what happens in the "Ask" threads is non-canon.

For instance, Jax and Shyvana getting married, Morgana using Talon as a *****, Warwick and Renekton engaging in civilized society, etc.

I can also say that most of the people who are RPing as the champs, while doing good jobs, are probably not RPing them exactly as how the lore department at Riot created them to be. What I mean by this is their interactions with others probably doesn't fit their character 100%, but it's all in good fun.

Everyone answers according to imagination and characterization etc..

Ask Kennen 05-06-2012 10:57 PM

If i actually played kennen as "lore ordained kennen" itd probablly be pretty agsnty and focused
granted we all take the lore very seriously and if we were to have lore related roleplays we'd stick to characterzation with tiny ammounts of Out of character shenanigans

Ask the Monkey 05-06-2012 10:58 PM

Don't be fooled by these responses, it's lies, ALL LIES!!!
We don't just get lore ahead of time, sometimes Riot borrows from what we do and uses it as lore.

Ask Jarvan IV 05-07-2012 01:36 AM

I'm fairly certain I play the part of Jarvan perfectly. It's all about knowing the champion, and existing lore on them. I would say the people best at RPing their champion are in descending order: Shaco, myself and Udyr.

Necromonger 05-07-2012 01:39 AM

Rammus would be a very challenging character to roleplay...
