Mini map colors

Will there be an ability to change the mini map unit colors eventually?

Currently, it's a little confusing for new players. You've got the Blue vs Purp team in the actual game, but on the mini map your friendly units and champions are all Green while the enemy units and champions are Red.

I understand usually in RTS's that on minimaps a Friend = Green and an enemy = Red. But, in DOTA for example, the team colors actually coresponded with the minimap colors, if you chose to use that particular minimap display type.

So, if there aren't any plans to allow coloring changes on the minimap, my suggestion would be to make the colors match the actual game colors of the teams.

In addition, I'd suggest staying away from red and green as team colors, as Red/Green color blindness accounts for about 99% of people who are color blind. Not sure if that is a concern for Riot, but I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. :)

+1 i have to agree there are too many colors on the minimap.

+1 as well. A little to colorful for the information portrayed.

In my weekly top 5 I brought the up as an issue. This issue is especially bad for me because I am partially color-blind and the green-red make it very hard for me to quickly tell who is actually pushing who.... blue and red would have no such issue.

+1 i suggest do this " what about the big map ? it has hotkey ? why not to do it bigger ... and hotkey ( alt ) ...minimap dit witout heroes icons"

I agree with this as well, however, I will go further and say its really hard for me to tell which champion is which on both teams most of the time. I would much rather see a color associated with the player slot and see their color moving about the mini-map. Right now I really have a difficult time telling who is who until i mouse over them on the map.

+1, in addition, tiny red versus green colors are very hard to distinguish for anyone with red-green color deficiency, which affects about 1 in 3 males (in the US, at least.)

Agreed, the tiny icons are too distorted to really see and I run at 1600x1200 and I have massive issues with seeing what heroes are where quickly, revert to coloured icons and show the hero face on the icon with the hue turned their character colour on the big map.
