Thinking of buying a mac laptop, need performance examples!

Hello,

I program and I require a mac for the stuff I do (and I generally like them), so I'm thinking of buying one of the most powerful Macbook Pro laptops.

It's semi-hard to get a decent performance evaluation. People are saying that the mac client is slowing them down, then they are saying they only get 60 fps for a high end mac, then some are saying they get 180+ fps. There generally isn't as much info about macs and gaming (obviously lol).

So can people post specs to get a general idea of how much FPS you get while playing on your mac? I prefer very technical details, so if you're an expert, don't worry about me not understanding lol. I'm looking to get at least 100 fps with low/medium settings. I take gaming semi-seriously and any hardware bottlenecks for me are pretty unacceptable.

Here are specs for the most powerful model:
2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz
16GB 1600MHz memory
512GB flash storage
Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory

Specs:
2.5ghz duo-core i5 processor
4 gb ram (not sure what speed, but pretty sure 1333 mhz)
500 gb HD
Intel HD Graphics 4000
late 2012 15' Macbook Pro

~50 FPS with most things on high, shadows off, v-sync off. i think i have environment details set on medium or low.

So, i think your specs will be more than enough to achieve 100 fps on low-medium settings. especially since you have the discrete card.

Specs :
Processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB
Software OS X 10.8.3
13-inch, Mid 2012

I don't know why but when I used to play LoL on the iLoL unofficial client i could get fps up to 180~190
but since the current Mac official client released I've been using that ever since. I've been getting constant 60 no more no less. I think the official client has fps limits where 60 is the max , to prevent fps drops when I was on iLoL my fps was going up-down and it was annoying the heck out of me. Having an fps jump from 155 to 180 and then back down to 155 while cs-ing is pretty annoying cause you can literally see the differences and you can see the tiny bit of spike it gives but now the official client eliminates that and thus here I have constant 60 at everything on high :).
v-sync is turned on for me but i don't know wether that effects the fps or not .
