So today I was trying to get League to work using a proxy, and a found a great thread in EUW:
Above is a well-written guide by Lynads which explains how to run applications (mainily LoL) through a proxy WITHOUT the use of a third party software.
However, reading the comments, it appears that people are having problems with authentication of corporate proxies. This can resolved in the following manner.
Let's say the proxy we are using is called "proxy.sample.com" and uses ports 8000.

So on PVP.net Client login, turns out that I get connection failure, probably due to port restriction of my university.
Same as Xiexingwu, I get a connection failure at login, which comes up after a certificate message. Help?
Got the same message as the person above. On attempting to log in, came up with the message of connection failure. Just previously to this occurring, a message popped up about a certificate not being trusted. how do I fix this?
