Nooblord Tournament - Winter 2013

Ever want to play in a League of Legends tournament, but lack the pre-made team, sponsor dollars, or drive to actually leave your house? If YES, then you are in luck! The Nooblord Tournament Series is starting up this winter and it needs YOU PEOPLE to make it happen!

Format:

Before I start babbling, here is the bracket in image form:

The Group Stage will be more like a small single elimination tournament. All Group Stage games are Best of 1. Teams 1 and 2 will play each other. Teams 3 and 4 will play each other. The 2 winners will play each other for seeding. The 2 losers will play each other to stay in. 0-2 is out. Better luck next time.

All subsequent rounds are straight up best of 3 or best of 5 with ONE CATCH!

The picks and bans will proceed as normal for Game 1, with 3 champions being banned out by each team. Teams will be chosen, and Game 1 will be played.

THIS IS WHEN THINGS GET WEIRD.

For Game 2, the same 6 bans from Game 1 are used. In ADDITION, the 5 champions played by the WINNING TEAM are AUTOMATICALLY BANNED for the rest of the match. This means there are 11 champions banned for Game 2.

If the match reaches Game 3, the same ban rules apply again to the winning champions of Game 2. This means 16 champions banned in Game 3! Are you versatile enough to deal with a shrinking champion pool? I hope so, since the finals will be BEST OF 5, meaning a possible 26 BANS if the match goes to Game 5.

Prizes:

What, the joy of competing in an amateur tournament isn't good enough for you? I agree.

The winning team will receive $25 RP cards for every member of the team. I know this isn't much, but I'm not exactly loaded. If this goes well, WHICH DEPENDS ON YOU PEOPLE, we can try to get sponsors and make this a seasonal ordeal.

Top teams will also get automatic entry into subsequent tournaments if we manage to make this work.

Entry:

The Nooblord Tournament is open to any NA Summoner who is level 30 and has at least 1200 ELO in soloqueue or Ranked 5v5. Unranked Summoners or lower than 1200 ELO will not be accepted for everyone's sake.

Registration will remain open until Monday, January 14, 2013 unless all spots fill before then.

Love this format!
Question: will the tournament be local or virtual?

Online. A 15-day LAN event would be madness (and unnecessary).

The tournament is full and in the process of moving forward.
