How the elo works?

Somebody can explain me cause im 32 win 26 lost and stuck in 1100-1200 elo. When i win i win 8- 16 elo but when i loss i always lose 16-20 elo. How it works why i lose more elo than i win.

Google bro.

Elo is a flawed system for a 5v5 game. It was originally designed for 1v1's in chess. Turns out the system works just as well if the team is counted as a single entity. The flaw resides in the fact that there isn't enough variables in the equation for Elo to work efficiently on a game as diverse as LoL. Position played, warding, assists and tower pushing (the largest problem in Elo hell IMO) all matter. Welcome to elo hell, where It's nearly impossible to get out solo queuing. Anyone who doesn't believe it exists is delusional.

its not impossible to get out, just need luck with teamates.

who has the more troll-like team? who has the first time ranked players? luck

and then i know multiple people above 1500 with more losses than wins
