Ran in to an ex girlfriend from high school.

She aged bad and gained lots of weight, is a single mother of 3 (3 different fathers), and works a horrible job so she lives in a horrible apartment.

It seems like any time I run in to an old girlfriend or friend, the ratio of who did better for themselves is 90%/10% me.

I did one time run in to an old friend that was a complete loser as a kid and ended up a successful corporate lawer and has a wife that might be the hottest lady I've seen ever. He did better.

When you run in to old acquaintances what's the ratio of who ended up doing better, you/them?

How can one be a complete loser as a kid?

Just curious. Was he like really bad at kick-ball?

Most people I knew in my youth became criminals if male, and single mothers if female.

None have been productive or successful.

Yeah, he didn't play sports.

He also wore sweat pants everyday, even to school, all the way up to about his junior year of high school.

He didn't have a girlfriend until college and the ugliest girls in high school used to shoot him down.

He used to collect maps and "read" maps for fun.

He got beat up every day.

These are only a few things.

But he probably ended up better off than anyone else in my area. I was really happy for him.

how does any of this make someone a loser? Now if you had said he did nothing but drugs and didn't pay attention that would be different.

Nope. He didn't do drugs and he was very intelligent.

I think being a loser helped him in the long term and getting picked on and beat up because he always used to say things like "I'm going to be doing this or that and those kids picking on me will be homeless garbage".

I still keep in touch with him and have played in a few of his poker games. Like I said I was very happy for him.

I think I'm too young in life for this thread.
But mildly relevant, I hate seeing people from school when I'm working.

so you are infact saying he was not a loser at all then.

If you think those are the only two requirements for not being a loser then he wasn't a loser.
