Grossmont College's Epic Gamer's Guild will be hosting a tournament in the month of March. $15 Team entry ($5 per participant). First place prize is 1/3 of the entire tournament entry fee. Top 4 Teams will be awarded RP prizes*. Up to 64 teams can compete.

Teams must consist of 3 summoners whom have access to 16 champions as of Tournament day (The current free rotation champs are included). Team roster can not be changed as of date of team entry. However each team is allowed 2 Alternate team members. Once Tournament starts your teams roster must be finalized and no changes to your 3 competing summoners can be made. Summoners are suggested to be level 30 but are not required to be so.

We will be playing on the school computers. If you want your own key board or mouse from home you may bring it. Before every round you compete in you will be given 5 minutes to customize your settings.

Spectators are welcome to come and watch free of charge from Grossmont College's Griffon center. Each game of the tournament shall also be streamed, thanks to the Epic Gamer guild.

Brackets will consist of several small brackets of 4 Team round robin matches. The first two teams with 2 wins will advance. This will continue to the Semi Finals. During the Semi Finals and Finals the final 4 teams will compete in best of 3 matches with the winner advancing.

Pending on the number of tournament entries the tournament may span several days. We will try to hold The tournament on just the 2nd of March 2013, but we reserve that we might also compete on the 9th, 16th, 23rd, and the 30th.

Tournament entry starts on December 7th 2012 and lasts until March 1st 2013.

A team member must fill in a "Team Entry" form. Payments of entry fee's may be done early if the team desires, but is no longer required. Tournament fee must be paid before or at check in times for each team.

*Riot approval pending

For all interested parties we now have an online registration form.
You will still need a $5 down payment to be officially registered. You may pay this by going to grossmont college this friday in room 530 between 12:30 and 3:30 and speaking to Caleb Puckett, or Andy Freeman. If this time does not work for you and you would like to turn in your down payment during our winter break you may contact epicgamersguild@hotmail.com and one of our Club members will schedule to meet with you.

so ok, why would you charge anything, youll never get people to play because every other tournament is FREE!!!! nice try though. good luck

Capman 12-30-2012 12:45 PM

We are charging because this is how our club runs tournaments. And from what I can see most other tournaments, unless there is no prize, are not free. I think the notable exception is online tournaments but we have a space that we are opening specifically for this event. Grossmont college is not open on saturdays, so we have had to fill out extensive paper work to reserve this space. Thank you for your concern and I'm sad to hear you will not be playing with us.

So do we actually have to come to the college?
