People say azubu came up with the aggressive push strat but it was actually CLG

IEM hannover march 2012, CLG vs m5 games 2 semi final, CLG puts ad/support top lane agressively pushes tower with nunu cait then pushes bot and the two mid towers by 18 mins. Stop saying the Koreans are coming up with new wild strats, its simply a variation on CLG na strat.

And where do you think they learned that ? From korea. Thank you very much.

There is no substantial evidence demonstrating that the strategy originated from any one particular region (therefore conclusions cannot be made at the moment); for all you know both regions could have come up with the strategy independently or it could have originated from somewhere else entirely.

One thing is clear however, the hyper aggression playstyle appears to be common among the top Asian teams, providing additional support (but not proving) that the strategy was developed in the Asian regions.

Maybe they didn't come up with it, but they certainly mastered it.

And for some reason na decided it wasn't a good enough strat to continue to develop.

this kinda remidns how obama became president almost entirely because of his race. whether you like romney or not, please dont vote for a canidate just because of race, becuase the truth is you would vote romney if he were black and you know it's true, please stop thinking about color and vote for the logical best canidate thats all.

I've seen a lot of dumb things written on a lot of forums, but this post ranks quite highly...

It was the korean playstyle for a long time. Korean teams used Ez and TF for their early aggression way before march (CLG probably prepared of OGN spring and so they saw the Korean playstyle and tried to copy it in a small amount of time).

And there is a huge difference between CLGs playstyle and the korean:
CLG used to swap the lanes and push the lane with the ADC. That was nothing new (lane swaps were already known at that time, but very rare). Now CLG didn't use a lot of strength for invades, ganks and/or aggression on other lanes in that time. They played their 0/8/15 playstyle but swaped 2 lanes and the ADC lane was perma pushing and then swapping back.

The Koreans used it way smarter and to get a real advantage out of it. Way more aggression. More smart play. More map control.

It was also before the internet, because they couldn't possibly have seen Korean gameplay anywhere but in Korea, in person.

Your comment is a couple of things:
1) Taken out of context
2) Completely untrue in many ways
3) Makes a grand assumption
4) You did not explain the qualities of the "logical best candidate"

Conclusion: WTF did I just read?
