Brand and Kennen
 
Why isnt brand considered as good a Kennen?
Brand has to land 2 skills in order to stun but Kennen needs 3.
I already have Kennen and want to get Brand or Katarina.
I need help deciding lol :P

Hey TommySparkle!

Let me help you understand the differences. As of right now, the key differences between Kennen and Brand are the Utility and CC potential of Kennen.

Kennen is inherently more mobile than Brand due to his Lighting Surge. With it he gains movement speed and resistances; All of that being useful in team fights.

Kennen Can stun more people than Brand and is more reliable. it is true that Kennen takes 3 abilities (or a clever use of 2) to stun any one target. However, Brand's stun is dependent on his Q which is a Short-range Skill shot. On top of that, He can also stun an entire team with a simple Rush in and ult.

By Sheer damage, Brand is stronger because of his passive. However, kennen brings utility and CC to a team that's greater than Brand. Also, the fact that he uses Energy as a resource allows the blue buff to be given to other characters.

Brand is blue reliant and has skillshots that can be dodged. Kennen has an energy resource system which makes him an inherently better laner as well as more resilient and sustainable.

Brand excels in crowded teamfights like in the jungle, yet those occurences are rare in high levels of a play since they know brand can destroy them easily. Kennen has so much utility that even if he fails in lane, he can rush in and ult stunning everyone on the enemy team over a large area.

While Brand 'only requires' two abilities to stun, he can _only_ stun with his E, and he can only stun a single target.

Kennen can stun with any combination of his abilities, making each individual ability less 'important' in the grand scheme of things, and allowing him to use them more freely to poke, escape, etc.
