Why Dominion is broken and will never be Ranked.

Dominion is broken because it reward the people who do badly and makes it impossible for the team who is winning in beginning to win in the end.

Let's say your team has more skilled players on it. You will dominate in the beginning and wthe score will be around 400-75. Then the enemy will be able to kill you and you have to wait 30 seconds to respawn while they respawn at ~12 seconds. If the enemy team controls majority of the points it will become impossible to win because you have to wait 2-3x as long to respawn making it impossible to even cap a base.

You will ace them in a team fight that takes around 15-25 seconds to kill them, then when you begin channeling the take the 3rd base, the people that died first in the skirmish will have already respawn, while your team still has to wait 10 more seconds to respawn.

tl,dr: Dominion rewards the losing team too greatly so that once the team that is dominating loses a 1 base, it becomes impossible to take control of the game back.

If your team was good enough to dominate like that, they should be able to retake caps... I've had times like this happen and we'd push minions to help recap and/or take over other caps to spread the enemy team out.

Since the last patch that tweaked dominion respawn timers only vary by +2/-2 seconds, so it would be like 27 to 23 not 30 to 12. So.. no.

Odds are what's happening is they have better mobility and scaling and/or your team starts going rambo mode fighting 1 or 2 at a time constantly until you're no-longer ahead.

Minimum respawn time: This is the time that, when no respawn wave is active for that team, it will take the person who died to respawn. In Dominion this value defaults to 26 seconds at all levels.

Respawn window size: When someone dies on a team, if no respawn window is active, a new respawn window will be created of the size specified by this variable. Currently in Dominion this value is set to 12 seconds. When a respawn window is created fora team, anyone who dies during this period will have their respawn time set to the same time as the person who opened the window.

Example: Imagine that three people die in a row at a team, one at 0:00, one at 0:10, and one at 0:20. When the first person dies no respawn window is open, so he will open a respawn window of 12 seconds and his respawn time will be set to the minimum, 26 seconds. When the second player dies at 0:10, he falls within the respawn window opened by the first champion, so instead of having his respawn time set to the minimum he will have it set to the same time as the first champion who died. At 0:12 the respawn window closes. The next champion who dies at 0:20 is outside of the respawn window, so she gets a minimum respawn time of 26 seconds and opens a new window. At 0:26 both the first and the second champion respawn. At 0:32 the second respawn window closes, and then at 0:46 the third champion respawns.

Both teams can have their respawn timers reduced and if you lost when the score was 400-75 the other team must have had a d/c earlier or your team started derping really hard

A good team will take mid and sit on it- the losing team has to either fight them on the point, where they are disadvantaged, or try to push Minion waves to help.

The former option can end up with another lost fight an many lost points pretty easily, and the later also means many points lost.

Learn more intelligent play.

If they send 4 bottom, why not send 2 enemy mid 2 enemy bot, and have the one on friendly bot stall for as long as possible. After they finish the cap its 4-1 instead of 3-2 which it was before (assuming you held top).

If they own your bot, why not just ignore it and go cap their mid/bot, since if they are keeping 2 or more people at your bot they can't defend elsewhere

It can work if the team is mostly intact, but often its rather risky.

Teams usually aren't in tact enough to take another point without serious risk of losing a team-fight unless they just won a landslide victory.

Pushing when one should defend is one of the top reasons that winning teams lose their lead.

Doesn't deserve the courtesy of a real response. Whine more about totally incorrect information, moron.

Its not rewarding the losing team, its punishing the retarded team for being retarded non stop after being in the lead.
Dont derp all over the place and theres no "reward" for the losing team.
