The current meta - Your thoughts
So how does everyone feel about the current Lane Meta we have, hailing from the EU?
That is to say, Bruiser/Beef Carry top, AP Mid, AD Carry/Support Bot, and them good ol' fashioned junglers?

Did you like the change? find it hard to manage? Or do you still yearn for the double stun bot or Roaming Meta days?

i like the roaming meta personally. i love roaming with poppy but i used to stack 4 philo stones...i can't do that anymore and benefit from it.

edit: the only problem i have with the current meta is not a lot of people actually use it at lower elo and now with the reset even in silver rating area's. people seem confused by it like they dont know what to do or how to play certain roles.

i think tournement wise pros are scared to break the meta.
i think that some pro's or a group of people should try to get high with some new tricks but then will be stomped on 1v1 class and their new "meta" sux

I think personally the meta has gotten stale, but I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Plus at my elo if you even dare try to deviate from the meta then its "gg" in teamchat

idk, deviating from the meta worked fine for CLG. I mean, they lost the finals, but that really wasn't because they went back to roaming.

the lane meta from EU is not bad, if the bot support doesnt actually screw over the ad carry by not letting them last hit, but apart from that, it is fairly solid when compared to the previous NA meta.

I personally enjoy the current setup, but I would really like to see more variety as well. I bet there are many viable setups, but unfortunately it's hard to get everyone on the same page outside of 5 man premade.

The beefy top laner allows you to skip a tank which let's you add more deeps into your team and if it wasn't for this I don't think bruisers would exist.

Gobbles 10-06-2011 07:55 AM

It's definitely stale and a boring meta. I don't even play support, but wow... why would anyone want to try now? What are you supposed to do? Stay in brush healing/shielding and not last hitting. Sounds like a great way to play lane every game :(

Just makes me sad to see no reason to deviate. Need some team out there to start shaking it up for everyone since it seems that meta trickles down.

I miss the "amumu is op" AoE meta.
